* * * Important Information for Summer 2007 * *
THE CAMP OFFICE IS LOCATED IN THE RED HORSE BARN AT POMPOSITTICUT FARM; however it is
recommended that you call first to check office hours throughout the season. 978-562-0968 is the
office phone and the only phone # that should be used until your child begins camp. Additional
numbers for emergency communication will be provided once registered. Email is also an excellent
source of communication and is checked daily. mail@pompositticutfarm.com

It is PFDC's Policy that a custodial guardian/parent must accompany your child to his or
her first day of camp. Special arrangements can be made with the office no sooner than one week
prior to the commencement of the camper's session. No child will be allowed to commence their
sesion without a proper check-in!

Registration Policy
A non-refundable registration fee per child, per session and administration fee are required with the
application that is
credited towards the tuition. Once your child is registered this fee in non-transferable between
sessions, siblings or programs and a written notice of cancellation is required. No refund will be
made for absence or withdrawal. Additional payments are due Feb. 1st and March 1st with the final
payment due in full May 1st. No camper may begin his/her session until this tuition is paid
in full including any finance charges, which apply to all late payments.

Camp Hours
Camp begins promptly at 8:45am. Drop off begins at 8:30am. No drop off prior
to 8:30am will be allowed. Pick-up is at 3:15pm and a late fee is accessed after our 15
minute grace period which starts at 3:30pm.

Extended Care (Fun Club)
PFDC offers Extended Care (Fun Club) for campers from 3:15pm - 5:15pm, on a first-come,
first-serve basis. There is a nominal charge for this service and is the only additional charge
to the tuition cost.

Lunches
Campers need to pack a hearty, nutritious lunch for an energetic day. All lunches are refrigerated
regardless of the contents you provide your child. Soda and juice may be purchased here for your
convenience. We provide no food service.

Pick Up/Departure Procedures
We will not release your child to anyone other than those whose car has an authorized camp vehicle
identification sticker. We request that you inform the office of pickup and carpool arrangements.
Each enrolled camper's parents will receive 2 window I.D. tags. Anyone arriving to pick-up children
without an I.D. tag will be asked to provide a drivers license and your child will not be released until
we have obtained your consent.

Absent - Late Arrival - Early Departure
If your child will not be at camp during the normal camp hourse (8:30am - 3:15pm) we ask that you call the
office as early as possible to inform us of this change in regular planning.

Medications
Any medications must be given to the Health Administrator each morning. It must be in the original bottle with
the doctor's name, dosage and medication name marked. No medication may be placed in your child's lunch. The
administration will comply with your schedule and needs to best service the health and safety of your child.
In order for the health care provider to administer any medications, you must file a Request to Administration
Medications Form, in addition to the standard medical form, with the infirmary. Please call the office
if you need one, (Concerta, Ventolin, etc.)

Discipline Procedures
It is a requirement by the State that all parents be informed of our disciplinary procedures. All campers
enrolled at Pompositticut are expected to be courteous and respectful of others while on the premises.
If inappropriate behavior or language continues after the camper has been spoken with, by any of our
staff hierarchy and given suitable means of behaving, a phone call will be made to one of the parents/guardian.
Because each family has separate ideas and practices on discipline, we feel it is in both the child's and
our best interests to discuss an issue directly with the parent. Therefore we avoid using e-mail for this type
of issue. Discussion of camper problems, regardless of their nature, will be directed only to the
Administration.

Placement Requests
Because PFDC accepts registrations on a first-come, first-serve basis we cannot guarantee camper groupings.
You may indicate names of friends attending in the same sessions but promises of placement together cannot
be made. Although age is a consideration in our groupings, please be aware this is not the only
contributing factor in finalizing our camper groups. The earlier you register the easier it is to
accomodate grouping requests.

Camp Is Never Canceled
However during past summers we have had several severe thunderstorms. Our staff still continues with
activities in closed facilities despite the weather, but camper safety and comfort are our major concerns.
We realize many of you work and need your children to stay until release time, but please know we support
and encourage early pick-up especially for children with extreme fears.

Tours
PFDC encourages parents to view the camp during the summer months when the camp is in session. We
feel you can better understand the atmosphere of camp by being with all the campers and see first-hand
how they interact with the staff and how much fun they're having at the activities. Most people are
amazed there are 96 children here per session, as they can hardly be seen or heard, thanks to the
expanse of the grounds! We can also schedule a short tour during the spring off-months but we ask that you
realize the activities are dismantled and most of the camp buildings store both camp and farm equipment,
etc. Any
tour must be arranged through the office by appointment, 978-562-0968.
